Broome Gallery

Giant Tides Gallery is at the back of Broome's historic old Sun Pictures. Sun Pictures is the southern hemispheres oldest operating outdoor picture theatre. It is also just across the carpark from Broome's Visitors Centre - so it is very easy to locate once you are in Chinatown in Broome.

The gallery can be reached through the front entrance of Sun Pictures from 10am till 5pm and via the rear entrance from Sam Su Lane. Sam Su Lane is the main gallery precinct for Broome. In fact one wall of the gallery is the Sun Pictures screen - so if you can find the screen of sun Pictures, you simply use the stairs at the rear of the screen.

The gallery has the extraordinary "Mangrove Creatures" photographic exhibition along with other "giant tides" theme related artworks and photographs.

The mangrove creatures featured in the Australian Geographic magazine in the first issue for 2008.

Within the gallery there is also a high definition theatrette where visitors can view spectacular time-lapse sequences of the Kimberley's giant tides.

By purchasing artworks and photpgraphs from the Giant Tides gallery you will also support the educational aspects and projects of the Giant Tides studios.
